What is Brent Local Safeguarding Children Board?

The safeguarding children board replaces the Area Child Protection Committee (ACPC).

Each Local Authority in England has an LSCB.

Brent LSCB is a statutory multi-agency body that brings together senior managers from each of the main agencies in Brent responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

The role and structure of Brent LSCB follows that laid out in the Children Act 2004 and ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children 2006’
